The cold winter months can leave your skin feeling dry, tight and itchy. In fact, dryness is among the most common causes for wrinkles. Thankfully, Dr. Zubowski provided his top tips to keep your skin hydrated and decrease the appearance of wrinkles this winter. Remember this simple routine: cleanse, prevent, moisturize, and protect your skin.
- First, hydrate from the inside out by drinking plenty of water. Proper hydration is directly related to skin cell regeneration, which will keep your skin happy and glowing all season.
- Exfoliate the skin to get rid of dry, dead skin cells. We recommend in office treatments such as Microdermabrasion or Micropeel to rid the skin of the top dead layers to reveal the healthier skin underneath.
- After cleansing your skin, apply a preventative antioxidant. These help to repair and prevent future damage. Apply a moisturizer to lock in moisture. Finally, wear sunscreen even if it’s gloomy outside. This will protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
