Dr. Zubowski’s Holiday Prescription: Invest In Yourself

My advice for this holiday season is to make sure you are at the top of your game, ready to take on the fun and fuss of party rounds and social events. It is more than likely you’ll mingle with friends and family that you haven’t seen for a while, along with life’s decision makers. You will not only want to make a good verbal impression, but a great visual one as well. Let me tell you, we live in a time that abounds with cosmetic rejuvenations and procedures designed to fit the busiest schedules.

Just two years ago more than two and a half million people opted for Botox™, and judging from my practice at the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Paramus, NJ, the number of patients requesting it is on an upswing and many more will try Botox in 2013. Many of my female patients, specifically young moms, want to get an early start toward their goal of maintaining their youthfulness. I completely agree that starting such treatments as soon as minimal wrinkles and crow’s feet begin to surface will keep everyone guessing about how you look calm and relaxed, despite your heavy work load.

Depending on the facial area that’s troubling you, we might also recommend a specific dermal injectible filler. Some of these plump up wrinkles and under-eye hollows, as well as lift sagging skin. In addition, they can restore facial volume, which has long been associated with a more youthful appearance.

If we decide that Botox is your best treatment option you’ll probably need a single treatment every four months or so, while hyaluronic-acid fillers such as Juvéderm last at least six months.

If you’d like to find out more about injectible cosmetic procedures or to schedule a consultation, please contact our office manager. She will be happy to provide some preliminary information and set you up with a consultation.
