Cellulaze New Jersey Providers Dr. Zubowski & Dr. Gandolfi
WHAT IS CELLULAZE™?
Cellulaze is an effective and nonsurgical solution for reducing cellulite. Cellulaze is a laser-assisted, cellulite removal procedure performed by board certified, New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Zubowski or Dr. Brad Gandolfi for increasing your skin’s natural thickness, and achieving a healthy and aesthetically appealing skin.
WHAT CAUSES CELLULITE?
Genetics, hormones and aging all play a role in the appearance of cellulite. As the skin thins with age, these factors combine to cause connective tissue bands to stiffen, leading to fat pockets that form the bumps and dips known as cellulite to create a cottage cheese affect.
Regardless of how often you eat leafy greens or how frequently you visit the gym, you cannot control the factors which influence developing cellulite. Although traditional topical treatments such as lotions and creams may help reduce the appearance of cellulite, only the Cellulaze procedure can permanently reduce its appearance by addressing all three components that cause cellulite, namely fibrous bands, pockets of fat and thin skin. A single Cellulaze treatment by Dr. Zubowski or Dr. Gandolfi will eliminate bulging fat, divide the fibrous bands and increase the thickness of the skin.
THE CELLULAZE PROCEDURE: HOW TO GET RID OF CELLULITE?
The procedure involves inserting a laser device under the skin to deliver energy to the cellulite, which simultaneously levels out fat cells and releases the fibrous bands that pull down on the skin and cause the dimpled look of cellulite. Cellulaze treatment also increases collagen production to improve the depth and elasticity of the skin so the area looks smoother. Treatment time generally lasts about one to two hours. Prior to Cellulaze treatment, Dr. Zubowski or Dr. Gandolfi will examine and mark the targeted areas of cellulite on thighs and other common areas. He will numb the area with a topical anesthesia and make a few tiny incisions on the surface of your skin. The Cellulaze laser, which is as small as the tip of a pen, is inserted through the incisions, where it delivers energy to your unwanted cellulite. Then the liquefied fat is gently pressed out.
DOES CELLULAZE HURT?
Mild bruising and discomfort is common after a cellulite treatment. Excess liquid may drain from the incision site(s), which is also normal. Dr. Zubowski or Dr. Gandolfi may recommend a compression garment. Most patients are able to return to work and other daily activities within one to two days and exercise may be resumed within one to two weeks. The results continue to improve for three to twelve months.
HOW LONG DOES THE CELLULAZE TREATMENT TAKE?
Cellulaze treatment time will vary depending on the size of the area to be treated, but generally will take between one to two hours.
Cellulaze cost will depend on the choices made during your one-on-one consultation with Dr Zubowski or Dr. Gandolfi discussing your unique situation and desired outcome. After reviewing your medical history, the doctor will discuss your priorities and motivations for pursuing cellulaze treatment, and any reservations and concerns you may have. Following your examination, Dr. Zubowski or Gandolfi will provide advice and options to help you achieve the appearance you desire. At the end of your consultation, our staff will provide you with a written estimate of the cost. Cellulaze cost typically ranges from $2900 to $6000 per cellulaze treatment.
WILL THERE BE SCARRING?
The size of each incision is typically less than 1/16″ at each access point, and because each access site is so small, no stitches are required after the procedure. The skin incisions become practically unnoticeable after healing.
