Dr. Zubowski Dishes on Vivace Microneedling

At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery we’re proud to keep pace with the rapidly changing face of plastic surgery. Now we’d like to introduce you to our latest addition: Vivace Microneedling RF, a non-surgical treatment for contouring and tightening the face, neck and body, as well as smoothing acne scars. It works to stimulate your own collagen production and like our other modalities has been safety approved by the FDA for these purposes.

Jennifer Ratuis, our licensed aesthetician, and a long-standing member of our Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center family has been associated with us for more than a decade. She is thoroughly trained in microneedling with the RF technique. And, as co-medical directors who oversee our skin care arm, you have the expertise of two experienced cosmetic surgeons should you require us.

One of the reasons patients who have tried microneedling are so excited about it is that the results are immediate and dramatic, combined with less downtime and less discomfort. And while the results are indeed noticeable right away, you will also see additional improvement over time and with subsequent treatments.

So what can you expect on the day of your treatment? Jennifer will apply a sophisticated numbing agent to the area being treated about 30-45 minutes prior to your microneedling session. The treatment itself takes about 45 additional minutes, during which you should experience a light pressure on your treatment area. If you are like most of our microneedling patients you will require three treatments scheduled four to six weeks apart to get optimum results, but single sessions are also available.

After your treatment you will be sent home with a list of instructions, among them to stay out of the sun, and away from the gym for three to five days. Vivace Microneedling RF can be successfully used on most skin colors and this will be confirmed to you at the time of your one-to-one consultation.

If we’ve piqued your curiosity about how microneedling can improve your skin’s appearance and help fight the war on visual aging, please contact our office manager who will set up a consultation with either Dr. Zubowski or Jennifer.
