voluma-graphicWHAT ARE JUVÉDERM  VOLUMA™  XC INJECTIONS?

Juvéderm Voluma XC represents the newest product in the Juvéderm® family of dermal fillers. Juvéderm Voluma XC injections provide a nonsurgical solution for restoring volume to your mid-face, and is specifically designed for lifting cheeks and improving the contours of the face. As you age, your body begins to lose its hyaluronic acids and collagen, leading to wrinkles and a loss of elasticity and fullness. Our Juvéderm Voluma XC cheek filler injection is a an easy facial rejuvenation procedure performed by board certified, New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Zubowski for erasing wrinkles and restoring a more youthful profile.

WHAT IS JUVÉDERM VOLUMA?

Juvéderm Voluma XC is an injectable gel cheek filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in your body that helps hydrate and add volume to your skin. Juvéderm Voluma XC is a much thicker form of Juvéderm and is the only cheek augmentation gel FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the mid-face. This soft injectable gel uses an advanced patented technology that is FDA approved for persons of all color and all skin tones, eliminating the risk of hyper-pigmentation or hyper-tropic scarring.
This advanced gel technique has a firm consistency and contains lidocaine to make the cheek filler injections comfortable. During your one-on-one consultation with the doctor, he will discuss the differences between the various formulations of Juvéderm and decide which one will work best for you based on your individual needs.

HOW IS JUVÉDERM VOLUMA TREATMENT PERFORMED?

At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Zubowski will expertly inject Juvéderm Voluma XC cheek filler into carefully selected areas of your mid-face. The results are immediate and since it is a gel, the Juvéderm Voluma XC provides you with a smoother, natural profile.

During the treatment, the Juvéderm Voluma XC cheek filler is injected into pre-determined areas often mapped out on the face. There is a slight sting upon injection but there is very little discomfort afterwards. When injected into the skin, your tissues are slightly augmented, causing your cheeks to appear smoother.

After injection, it is common to gently massage the treated area to ensure an even distribution of Juvéderm Voluma XC beneath your skin. Dermal filler treatments can take just minutes per area to perform and are nearly pain free. They are done with a very fine needle that minimizes the discomfort of the cheek filler injection. For your comfort we now offer Pro-Nox, a patient-controlled inhaler that delivers a combination of 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide to alleviate pain and anxiousness. Simply ask for it. Read more about Pro-Nox.

As with any dermal filler procedure, there is always the possibility of Juvéderm  side effects to consider and Dr. Zubowski will discuss these risk factors and if they apply to you during your one-on-one consultation prior to your treatment.

HOW LONG DOES JUVÉDERM VOLUMA LAST?

After the treatment, you will see the results almost immediately and your cheek volume enhancement should look great and maintain its improved appearance for up to two years.

HOW MUCH DOES JUVÉDERM VOLUMA COST?

The cost of Juvéderm Voluma XC can vary based on the area being treated and how many vials will be required. The cost of one Juvéderm Voluma XC vial is $1100, while two vials is $1900.
