A Hairy Subject that’s No Laughing Matter

Bikini Season Prep

Unwanted facial and body hair is a problem most women (and men too) have come to accept. And, as I’m sure you’re aware, the traditional temporary fixes, such as waxing, tweezing, and electrolysis, all require regular attention.

Now, with an advanced laser technology, we can offer a longer lasting solution. At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Paramus, NJ we’re using a specialized laser approved by the FDA for the reduction of unwanted hair anywhere on the body and/or face, even the more sensitive areas under the arms and at the bikini line. Imagine not having to cope with the possibility of painful ingrown hairs from shaving, or tell-tale razor bumps or the discomfort of waxing or tweezing.

Laser Hair Removal: What to Expect

As with all cosmetic surgery procedures it is essential that you can rely upon the medical experience of the practitioner. At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic Surgery, where I am medical director, I oversee your procedure that begins by our experienced technician applying a topical anesthetic cream to numb the area we are treating. The laser then permanently destroys the targeted hair root. Your session can take anywhere from five minutes to an hour depending upon how much work needs to be done. My patients say that the entire experience is relatively pain free. Once accomplished, you are free to immediately return to your normal activities without restriction. Also, laser hair reduction can be successfully performed on people of all ethnicities.

Typically, you can expect to accomplish your goals after two to three sessions. We usually schedule your treatments six weeks apart, but spacing is determined during your initial consultation.

During the months leading up to summer, laser hair reduction is one of our most requested procedures. Since there’s no downtime you’ll be ready for the beach and attending events looking your best from head to toe.

If you’d like to schedule a consultation for laser hair reduction or would like to discuss other cosmetic surgery goals, please contact our office manager or request a consultation online to set up your one-to-one consultation with me.
