Dr. Zubowski tells how to get the most from your BOTOX® procedures

Shortly after the FDA approved Botox injections for aesthetic purposes, we saw a number of medical professionals besides board-certified plastic surgeons advertise their ability to administer the substance.  In some practices, a nurse injector, dentist, or even your family doctor might perform your Botox treatment procedure. At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, in Paramus, NJ, where I am Medical Director, I can assure you that your procedure will be done only by a board certified plastic surgeon such as myself. Now why is this so important?

Let’s start with the premise that you’ve decided to undergo Botox treatment, tiny injections under the skin, for any one of a number of reasons. Perhaps it is to smooth your forehead wrinkles, rid yourself of crow’s feet at your eyes, or get your sweaty palms and/or your underarm wetness under control. You might even want to try it in an effort to arrest your migraine headaches.

As a board certified plastic surgeon I am thoroughly qualified to be your Botox treatment specialist. As part of my training in plastic surgery and general surgery I’ve undergone specific training in facial anatomy.  It is crucial that those tiny needle pricks of Botox are delivered in exactly the right place with exactly the right amount of this injectable to provide the results you want.  Botox’s effects are temporary, lasting anywhere from three to six months, and the majority of people who try it continue their sessions to maintain its impressive results. I’ve found it to be a truly remarkable anti-aging tool in the right hands. At the Robert Zubowski MD Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery it is one of our most frequently performed procedures.
